Service 122, built by the specialists of STC PROTEY and SIGURD-IT, which are part of the PROTEY IT holding, has been successfully operating in St. Petersburg for more than 2 years. It receives more than 30 thousand calls a day and provides residents with access to medical and consulting services. This experience of real digital transformation has earned the CIPR DIGITAL award in the nomination "Health of the Nation" for the best digital solution in the field of healthcare.
The "Republican Center for Disaster Medicine and Emergency Medicine" of the Ministry of Health of the Chuvash Republic also has experience in deploying and operating such a service. In 2015, STC PROTEY made the first deliveries of equipment to Cheboksary for the implementation of the Medical Information and Analytical Center (MIAC). At the first stage, 10 contact center operator (RMO) jobs were deployed and for a long time these resources were enough to advise the population on current health issues. As you know, 2020 brought the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of appeals, analyses and consulting requests has become many times more. An operational decision was made to deploy the hotline of service 122 on the basis of a previously established contact center. Instead of 100-150 calls per day, more than 500 calls began to arrive, and in 80% of cases the questions concerned the coronavirus, therefore, there was an urgent need to improve the performance of the system and its functionality. A team of SIGURD-IT specialists promptly took up this task and upgraded the existing system to 30 RMOs, and the region, in turn, additionally attracted medical students to work on the hotline as medical consultants.
Thus, using a single number 122 in the Chuvash Republic, they began to process calls to invite a doctor at home, consult on the results of tests, make an appointment at a polyclinic and even provide psychological assistance.
In 2022, the work of SIGURD-IT continued: all elements of the system were completely transferred to the domestic operating system and new functions were introduced. For example, situational cards have been finalized, system configuration capabilities have been expanded, the functionality of a senior operator and recording of negotiations has been implemented, including the functionality of automatic issuance of PCR test results. In the future, the Ministry of Health of the region plans to expand the system to the republican service 03.
